Irvin C. Ehman, 92, Bismarck, North Dakota, formerly of Jamestown, died Monday, April 2, 2007 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck.
Irvin was born December 8, 1914 in Jud, North Dakota, the son of John and Ida (Flaig) Ehman. He was a long time employee of Northern Pacific Railroad. Irvin married Madelyn Olson in 1940.
Irvin was an amateur boxer as a young man and kept himself in good shape over his lifetime. He enjoyed fishing, the out-of-doors and raising a vegetable garden. Over his lifetime Irvin liked to do woodworking and craft making, playing cards and spoiling his grandchildren.
Irvin is survived by one son, Donald (Rose) Ehman, Sioux Falls, SD; two daughters, Jefferie Marie Ehman, Bismarck, ND and Nicki (Dale ) Ehman, Minneapolis, MN; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Madelyn, of 65 years; his parents; two brothers; two sisters and one grandson.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 5, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryce Tahran officiating.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
