Ivan Fritz Schielke

Ivan F. (Fritz) Schielke, 84, Jamestown, ND died Saturday, August 24, 2002 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center, in Jamestown.

Ivan was born March 1, 1918 in Jamestown, the son of Richard and Julia (Kunze) Schielke. He received his education in Jamestown. He entered the U.S. Army April 11, 1942 in Bismarck, ND and served in the European African Middle Eastern Theater and was discharged at Camp McCoy, WI, on November 25, 1945, as a Corporal. He moved back to Jamestown and married Lenora Stickel on November 3, 1946 in Windsor, ND. He farmed in Stutsman county and also worked at the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown.

He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Jamestown, Cecil Tracy Post 760 Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ernest DeNault -Robertson American Legion Post 14, and the DAV's.

He is survived by his wife, Lenora, of Jamestown; son, Wallace Ivan (Sherry) Schielke of Scottsdale, AZ; two grandchildren, Bryan J. and Angelee Lynn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother.

Funeral Service; 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Rev. Roland Gurgel.

Prayer Service; 7:30 PM, Monday, August 26, 2002 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Visitation; 9:00am to 9:00pm, Monday, August 26, 2002 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial; Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND
