Jack Fenno, Jr.

Jack Fenno, 77, Edgeley, ND, died Monday, August 2, 2010 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, ND.

John Clarence Fenno, Jr. was born August 20, 1932 in Edgeley, ND the son of John and Roberta (Oakley) Fenno. He was raised and attended school in Edgeley, ND. He worked on his father's farm and in 1950 entered the United States Coast Guard. On December 27, 1951, Jack married Betty Bauder in Aberdeen, SD. Following his discharge in 1954, they settled in Edgeley where he farmed and worked at the Edgeley Locker Plant for many years. He also worked for the Edgeley Ambulance and for Holte Funeral Home in Edgeley. He retired in 1989.

Jack enjoyed playing baseball and softball and bowling. He coached girl's softball, kept statistics for many of the Edgeley School sports, was a Boy Scout leader; a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Edgeley Lions Club.

Survivors include his wife, Betty, Edgeley, ND; 4 daughters: Linda (Roy) Kupfer, Edgeley, ND; Sheree (Mark) Kyehl, Pittsburg, PA; Donna (Kerry) Thurn, Kalamazoo, MI; Patty (Keith) Resvick, Burnsville, MN; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and a brother, Donald Fenno, Madison, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Alda Moe; a brother and a sister.

Funeral - 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Edgeley, ND

Prayer Service - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND

Interment - Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
