Jack Kreil Sr., 87, Jamestown, ND died at Med Center One Hospital, Bismarck, ND on Tuesday, July 24, 2007.
Jack Reinhold Kreil Sr. was born October 31, 1919 on the family farm near Gackle, ND. He attended country school near Gackle, ND and worked on the family farm. Jack joined the U. S. Army during WW2. He participated in the first landings at Normandy, France. Following his discharge he returned to North Dakota. He married Grace Burton at Valley City, ND on August 24, 1946. They moved to the state of Washington in 1950 where he was employed by the Boeing Aircraft Company. They returned to Jamestown in 1951 where he was employed at various jobs including West End Hide and Fur in Jamestown. He was disabled in the 1960's and later graduated from the Hanson Trade School. Grace died April 1, 2000.
Survivors include his 2 daughters, Rosemary (Robert) Guiborat, Bolingbrook, Il and Karen (Myron) Lee, Jamestown, ND; 2 sons, Jack Jr. (Vicky) and Kurtis, both Jamestown, ND; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Viona Orr, Alice Vipperman and Lorraine (Allen) Vandeberg, all Jamestown, ND and 1 brother, Oscar Kreil, Jamestown, ND. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Jeff and siblings Alden, Ruben, Alroy, Alven, Alvina and Wilbert.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2007 at Hi-Acres Manor Chapel, Jamestown, ND.
Visitation: Noon to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND and 1 hour prior to services at Hi-Acres Manor.
Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
