Thurston ""Jack"" Price, 87, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Thursday, December 9, 2004 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown.
Jack was born January 15, 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of T.B. and Barbara Price. The family moved to western North Carolina, near Lake Junaluska, where he grew up and received his education. He entered the U.S. Army on July 14, 1942 in St. Petersburg, Florida and was discharged on March 19, 1943 from Ft. Benning, Georgia. After he was discharged Jack was a student at the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK. He married Lena Pantlenon on December 16, 1946 in Spartanberg, South Carolina. They moved to Jamestown in 1947 where he was a salesman for Montgomery Ward. He also attended Jamestown College. Jack worked for the Selective Service as Executive Secretary for many years. He also operated a small woodworking business and attended many craft shows.
He enjoyed boating, fishing and woodworking.
Jack is survived by his wife, Lena of Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Florence and Winnie.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, December 13, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryce Tahran officiating.
No visitation is scheduled.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
