James Hollingsworth

James W. Hollingsworth, 89, of Jamestown, ND, died Friday afternoon, May 19, 2017 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.

James was born on August 26, 1927 in Glenmore Township to Fred and Jessie (Colby) Hollingsworth. He received his education in Glenmore School. James spent most of his younger years working with his father on the family farm milking cows and raising small grains. James was confirmed and baptized at the Nortonville Methodist Church where he was a lifelong member. He served on the Glenmore Township Board for 25 years and lived in Jamestown for the past 10 years.

James is survived by his four sons; Lyle (Lynn) Hollingsworth, Jud, ND, Kevin (Lori) Hollingsworth, OR, Jerry Hollingsworth, Kulm, ND, and Cory Hollingsworth, AZ, three sisters; Delores Demars, Portland, OR, Hazel Fox, NE, and Shirley Rott, Jamestown, five grandchildren; Kristi, Jolene, Caleb, Casey, and Colby, and four great grandchildren; Emily, Ross, Reese, and Carter.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Hollingsworth; sister, Edna Numan; and his parents.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Nortonville United Methodist Church, Nortonville, ND.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Interment: Nortonville Cemetery, Nortonville.
