James Oster

James Oster, 77, Jamestown, North Dakota died Monday, March 5, 2007 at his home in Jamestown.

Mr. Oster was born November 9, 1929 in Medina, North Dakota, the son of Emil and Amelia (Gunst) Oster. He grew up and attended school in Medina. They moved to Jamestown in 1947.

He started his own business in Jamestown which he owned and operated up to the time of his death.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and horses.

James is survived by three sons; Stanley Oster, Valley City, ND, Bruce (Betty Jo) Oster, Jamestown, Paul Oster, Bismarck, ND; two daughters, Colleen (Mike) Dronen and Charlene Schmitt, both of Jamestown; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; one brother, Archie (Carol) Oster and two sisters, Inez Enzminger and Shirley Oswald, all of Jamestown.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Gail; one brother, Raymond and two sisters, Agnes Reister and Marlene Tompt.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown with Chaplain Mark Haines officiating.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday, March 9, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Spring Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
