James Warmuth

James Warmuth, 81, Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Ave Maria Village.

James Allen was born to Rose Marie Warmuth on June 16, 1933, in Minneapolis, MN. He lived in foster homes in Minneapolis and was moved to the State Hospital in Faribault, MN. In March, 1969 he moved to Warner Care Home in Cokato, MN and lived there until August 1991 when he moved to the foster home of Harriet Halvorson in Cokato, MN. James worked at various places in Minneapolis, Winsted, Dassel, and Cokato, MN. In 1996, Harriet moved to Jamestown and Jim came to live in her foster care home. Jim worked at Alpha Opportunities, Inc. In August 2012 he moved to the George & Debbie Greshik foster care home and continued to work at Alpha until his failing health caused him to retire.

Jim was a very pleasant person and touched the lives of everyone he met. He will be greatly missed by all and his memory will linger in our hearts forever. He loved dressing up and going to church, playing his many, many polka records, going to Minnesota Twins games, and the former North Star hockey games in Minneapolis, going out to eat, doing crossword puzzles, buying the Sunday paper, and decorating his room for every holiday.

Jim is survived by his adopted family of Harriet Halvorson, Curt and Val Harr & family, Dan and Vickie Poland & family, Joyce Price & family, Rollie and Carol Stahlhut & family, Geroge and Debbie Greshik & family, Judy Friesz, and Judy Sweet.

He was preceded in death by his mother, step-father, and step-brother.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Visitation: None scheduled.

Interment: Cokato Lutheran Cemetery, Cokato, MN.
