Janet Matchie, 66, Jamestown, ND, died Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Innovis Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Janet Sandra Manning was born March 3, 1944 in Saranac Lake, New York, the daughter of George and Thelma (Brewster) Manning. She was raised and attended school in Saranac Lake.

In 1986, she married Michael Matchie in West Palm Beach, FL. They moved to Jamestown, ND, where she worked at County Market for 5 years and at Mini-Mart.

Janet was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. She enjoyed cooking and watching soap operas.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Michael, Jamestown, ND; 2 sons: Kenneth (Brenda) Adair, Taft, CA; Derek (Teresa) Adair, Jamestown, ND; 6 grandchildren: Jackie and Madison Adair, Jamestown, ND; Derek Jr., Kizary and Steve Adair, Tucson, AZ; Kristen Adair, Spring Lake, NC; 1 great-grandchild; 5 siblings: Gloria Benson, Phillipsburg, NJ; Marjory (John) Darrah, Barefoot Bay, FL; Lorraine Beaty Port St. Lucy, FL; Lamont (Cheryl) Manning, Chipley, FL and Karl (Irma) Manning Rock Hill, SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 siblings: Joan Lawrence; Marvin Manning and Nancy Marciszyn.
