Jim Hinger

Jim Hinger, 58, of Jamestown, ND, passed on to eternal life Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Sanford Health, Bismarck, ND, with his family at his side.

James Richard Hinger was born on January 5, 1955, in Valley City, ND, the son of William Roger and Jessie Claire (Hanson) Hinger. He grew up in Washington, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Colorado. Jim graduated from Mile High Academy, Colorado in 1973. He enjoyed his career in construction, especially working outdoors. Jim lived in Jamestown and later worked for Liechty Mobile Homes, Community Action, and the North Dakota State Hospital as a CNA. Jim's hobbies included hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle and anything outdoors

Jim is survived by his life partner, Jan Hinger, Jamestown; son, James Richard Hinger, Jr.; daughters, Tealee and Jimette; granddaughters, Emily, Rachel, and Milena; step-daughter, Tami (Dan) Vickery, Jamestown; step-son, Robbie; step-grandchildren, Aspen Rose, Elliott Dale, and Conner Alan; mother, Jessie Schultz, Fargo; brothers, William (Isabel), Portland, TN; Darrell (Amy), Fargo, ND; and Randall (Elisa), La Vergne, TN; sisters-in-law, Teresa Fast and Dawn Hopkins; brother-in-law, Jon Schulze; many nieces and nephews, and his dog, Sabre, who misses him dearly..

He was preceded in death by grandparents, William and Sara Hinger; father, William Roger Hinger; step-father, Duane A. Schultz; father-in-law, Ervin Schulze; and mother-in-law, Yvonne Fitzgerald.

Memorial Service: 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Darren Purdy officiating.

Visitation: None scheduled.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND.
