Joann Hennings

JoAnn Hennings, 73, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Tuesday morning, February 18, 2025 at her home.

JoAnn was born March 23, 1951, in Jamestown, the only child of John and Josephine (Wojciechowski) Zuber.  She attended grade school in Buchanan, ND and graduated from Woodworth High School in 1970. JoAnn was united in marriage to Harold Hennings on June 30, 1973 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown.  She attended college for one year in Bismarck after high school and later graduated from the University of Jamestown. She worked for 18 years at the James River Correctional Center.

JoAnn was a talented woman with a fighting spirit.  She had many talents, including drawing and painting, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

JoAnn is survived by her husband, Harold Hennings; son, Jon (Jenny) Hennings of West Fargo and his children, Anna, Ava, and Aiden; son, Travis (Kristy) Hennings of Bottineau and his children, Jake, Kaia, and Kalli; and daughter, Ashley (Wade) of Hecla, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2025 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.
