Joanne C Reimers, 81 of Jamestown, North Dakota died on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Joanne Carol Kurtz was born on October 16, 1937 in Jamestown, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Brown) Kurtz.

She received her education in Jamestown High School where she played basketball. On April 21, 1956 she married Henry Herman Reimers at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jamestown. They lived on a farm in the Wimbledon – Courtenay area. She was a farm wife raising her children and helping out on the farm. She also worked at Barnes County Equipment in Wimbledon until she retired.

She loved spending time with her family and friends, bowling, traveling, crocheting, and reading.

Henry died on December 11, 2013.

Joanne is survived by her five children; Greg Reimers, of Courtenay, ND, Marsha (Randy) Krapp, of Jamestown, Tim Reimers, of Wimbledon, ND, Jeff (Tina) Reimers, of Jamestown, and Michelle (Don) Scott, of Denver, CO; 12 grandchildren, Kelsey, Trevor, Evan, Justine, Sydney, Shawn, Rayann, Jade, Jasmine, Camryn, Emery, and Nikki; 1 great-grandchild; Iylee.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband.

Celebration of Life : 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 23, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.

Arrangements are in the care of Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
