Jodene Petersen

JoDene K. Petersen, 57, Jamestown, ND, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer at Eventide at Hi-Acres, Jamestown.

JoDene Kae Pederson was born October 2, 1955 in Minot, ND, the daughter of Morton and Joanne (Erb) Pederson. The family moved to Jamestown when she was a young girl and JoDene attended school at Roosevelt and Lincoln Elementary schools and graduated from Jamestown High School. She attended North Dakota State College of Science where she studied business. She worked for many years at Stutsman County Bank. JoDene married Richard Petersen on June 1, 1990 in Alamogordo, NM. He died in 1996. She returned to Jamestown and was office manager at Schubert's from 1998 to 2012.

She enjoyed reading, travel, spending time with her children and especially attending her granddaughter, Hunter's activities.

JoDene is survived by her children, Stephanie Petersen and Bryce Petersen, both of Jamestown; granddaughter, Hunter J. Petersen, Jamestown; three brothers, Mark (Wendy) Pederson and Miles (Sandra) Pederson, both of Weslaco, TX and Matthew (Becky) Pederson, Jamestown; and one niece and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents and grandparents.
