Johann Martin Theilen, 71, Jamestown, died Saturday, January 29, 2005 at his home. Johann Theilen was born April 10, 1933 in Sengwarden, Germany to Herman and Sophie Theilen. He attended school in Germany and learned a trade in cabinet making. In 1963, he came to the USA to work, settling in Jamestown. He worked for Great Plains Supply until retiring in 1995. For two more years he was self-employed. He met Myrtle Judd in 1963. They were married in 1971. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, all his pets and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is survived by: his wife, Myrtle, Jamestown; two sons, Tom (Karen) Judd, Fargo, Bruce (Carol Janke), Jamestown; three daughters, Jeanette (Jon) Herman, Fargo, ND, Carol (Larry) Frye, Batavia, Ill., Cathy (Bob) Grabinger, Windsor, ND; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fritz (Anne) and Franz (Helga) both of Germany; three sisters, Anti (Heintz) Schramm, Katie (Bernhard) Eggars and Hertha (Karl-Heinz) Gotz all of Germany; one brother-in-law-Siegfried Hess, Germany. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Helene and Erna.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 10:30 AM at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown with Bryce Tahran, officiating.
Visitation: Monday, January 31 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Eddy Funeral Home.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
