Johanna Bollinger, 94, Jamestown, N.D. died Monday, August 19, 2002 at the Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, N.D.

Johanna Trautman was born May 18, 1908 in Valley Spring Township near Cleveland, N.D., the daughter of Henry and Wilhelmia (Lutz) Trautman. She grew up and attended school in Valley Spring Township. Johanna stayed at home and took care of her mom until she passed away in 1942. She moved to Jamestown and worked at the Lutheran Old Folks Home for four years and at Trinity Hospital for five years. She worked in the kitchen and made all the salads for the nuns and residents. She took care of her dad until his second marriage.

She married Leo Bollinger on July 3, 1948 in Jamestown, N.D.; they made their home in Jamestown until the time of her death.

Johanna was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, V.F.W. Auxiliary, Jamestown Eagles, and the Jamestown Elks. She enjoyed playing bingo.

Johanna is survived by her husband of 54 years, Leo Bollinger, of Jamestown, N.D.; two brothers, Emil H. (Martha) Trautman, of Jamestown, N.D.; Albert (Arlene) Trautman, of Jamestown, N.D.; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Trautman, of Jamestown, N.D.; Leona Trautman, of Jamestown, N.D.; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, one in infancy, John, Paul, Gust, Sam, and Reinhold.

Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M. - Wednesday, August 21, 2002 at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Jamestown, N.D., with Rev. Terri Akkerman officiating.

Visitation: Tuesday, August 20, 2002 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Eddy Funeral Home - Jamestown, N.D.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens - Jamestown, N.D.
