John L Bennett

John L. Bennett, age 70, of Jamestown, ND (formerly Minneapolis, MN) passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2021.

John was born on August 6, 1950 in Jamestown, ND the son of John and Erma (Rowell) Bennett. He attended Jamestown High School and graduated in 1968. He eventually moved and settled in Minneapolis. John was a dedicated employee of HCMC in Minneapolis for 40 years. After his recent retirement, he moved back to Jamestown. He enjoyed music, reading, listening to his favorite talk radio shows and time spent with his nieces, nephews and close friends.

John is survived by his sisters Sandra (Robert) Fritz of Cologne, MN and Cathy (Randy) Switters of Jamestown; nephews and nieces Joselin Smith (Jeremy), Ashley Simons (Bob), Brandon Fritz (Angie) Michael S. Oster (Heather), Weylin Scott (Barbara); many great-nephews and great-nieces; aunts and uncles Louise Harshman, Sharon Zeller (Larry), and John Rowell (Carol). Close friends Kelly Donegan and Steve “Leo” Sanders.

He is proceeded in death by his parents John and Erma Bennett; grandparents Oliver and Sybil (Sinclair) Bennett, Henry and Bertha (Baker) Rowell.

Per his wishes, there will be no memorial service.
