John Erickson, 89, Jamestown, ND, died on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown, ND.
John Robert Erickson was born June 17, 1918 at Beulah, ND the son of John and Rebecca (Elliott) Erickson. He was raised on the farm near Beulah and attended country school. He later attended Northwest Bible College at Minot, ND. John worked at many jobs during his lifetime. He worked on the farm, in coal mines, ranched, did custodial work, and was a minister with the Church of God. John married Nita Sainsbury on April 1, 1962 at Miles City, MT. They made their home in Lemmon, SD and later in Jamestown, ND. Nita died on February 23, 2008.
Survivors include his son Tim Erickson, Bismarck, ND; a daughter, Ruth (Terry) Lutz, South Korea; 1 granddaughter, Tiffany Lutz, at home with her parents; 1 sister-in-law, Frieda Erickson and nieces and nephews: Judy (Ken) Frey; Jim (Eva) Tesky; Rosella (Tom) Quinn; Ernie Tesky; Barbara (David) Glinz; Linda Elhard and Gary Erickson. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 1 brother Ben and 1 sister Catherine Tesky Lund.
John attended First Assembly of God, Jamestown, ND. He enjoyed telling stories about his past and visiting with his family and friends.

Visitation - 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND
Interment - Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
