John Charles ""Jack"" Gardner, 80, Jamestown, ND, died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND, after a brief illness.
Jack was born June 9, 1931 in Rolla, ND, to Russell and Louise (Krook) Gardner. He was raised on the family homestead and attended school in Rolla. He later worked for North Central Consultants in Jamestown, prior to returning the the US Fish and Wildlife Service, from where he retired.
He enjoyed a good story; he was interested in genealogy and enjoyed researching his Scottish lineage. He continued to have an interest in the family farm and this served as a hobby for him in his later years. He had a love of knowledge and enjoyed discussing the issues of the day. He was especially devoted to his family and never ended a conversation without expressing his love for them. He found great joy in his great-grandchildren and their accomplishments.
