John Kropp

John L. Kropp, 45, Jamestown, North Dakota died of a heart attack on Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at his home north of Jamestown. John was born April 5, 1958 in Jamestown the son of Lawrence H. and Darlene (Linstaedt) Kropp. He received his education in the Jamestown schools and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1976. After high school he farmed his grandfather John Linstaedt's land south of Windsor. John married Betty Larson on February 20, 1987 in Jamestown. Later John farmed with his dad and uncle Clifford Kropp northeast of Jamestown.

John enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially watching his children's activites.

He was a member of the Fried Township Board, the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Parish Board, a lifetime member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the Jamestown Elks, Eagles and Knights of Columbus.

John is survived by his son, Jeremy Kropp, Jamestown, two daughters, Jessica and Taylor Kropp, Jamestown, his parents, Larry and Darlene Kropp, Jamestown, three brothers, Lawrence P. and Mary Kropp, Jamestown; Michael and Teresa Kropp, Kalispell, MT and Daniel and Candace Kropp, Savage, MN and one sister, Debra and Arnie Falk, Jamestown.

Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2004 at the Basilica of St. James, Jamestown with Fathers Bernard Pfau and John Fisher Kizito officiating.

Vigil Service: Friday, February 27, 2004, 7:00 PM, K of C Rosary with Vigil service to follow at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Friday, February 27, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fried, North Dakota.
