John A. Perleberg

John A. Perleberg, 62, Pingree, ND died Monday, February 24, 2003 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND.

John was born January 27, 1941 in Jamestown, ND, the son of Alva and Nancy (Mizener) Perleberg. He received his education in Buchanan and graduated from Buchanan High School. He married Marlys Diede on October 6, 1967 in Jamestown, ND. They lived west of Buchanan until 1971 when they moved to a farm west of Pingree where they lived and farmed in partnership with their son, Donald, until the present.

John was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Jamestown, the Jamestown Eagles and a past member of the Pipestem Valley Township Board. He enjoyed his farming and cattle, fishing and visiting with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Marlys, Pingree, ND, one son, Donald, Pingree, ND, one daughter, Pamela, Inver Grove Heights, MN, five brothers, Floyd (Barbara), New Rockford, ND; Herman (Linda), Pingree, ND; Frank (JoAnne), Buchanan, ND; H. Thomas (Debbie), Buchanan, ND; Wendell (Judy), Buchanan,ND and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM - Thursday, February 27, 2003 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Doug Opp and Rev. Dennis Ellingsen officiating.

Prayer Service: 7:30 PM - Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 PM - Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
