Josephine Mammel

Josephine Mammel, 91, Oakes, ND, formerly of Edgeley, ND, died Sunday, December 17, 2006 at Oakes Manor Good Samaritan Center, Oakes, ND.

Josie Tobolski was born March 8, 1915 near Edgeley, ND, the daughter of Joe and Lilly (Andrjeski) Tobolski. She was raised in LaMoure County and attended a country school west of Edgeley, ND. Following her schooling, she worked for area businesses in and around Edgeley. On September 26, 1941, she married Reuben Mammel in Fargo, ND. Following Reuben's discharge from the Navy, they lived in Cashmere, WA, Edgeley, ND and Anaheim, CA. In 1980, they retired and moved to Oakes, ND.
Survivors include her son, Terry (Jane) Mammel, Oconomowoc, WI; 2 grandchildren: Kevin Mammel, Denver, CO and Wendi Mammel, New Berlin, WI; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

Funeral - 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND
Interment - Mount Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
