Judy Greene

Judy Greene, 86, Jamestown, ND died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown, ND. Judy Kaiser was born October 20, 1921 near Woodworth, ND, the daughter of Fred and Mary (Geiser) Kaiser. She was raised on the family farm and attended school in Woodworth, ND. She attended her senior year of high school at Mayville, ND, graduating from Mayville High School in 1940. She attended and graduated from Dickinson State College with a teaching degree and furthered her education at Valley City State College. On June 20, 1942, she married Richard (Dick) Greene in Pingree, ND. She taught at Tower City, ND; Kensal, ND; Tappen, ND and Jamestown, ND for a total of 29 years, retiring in 1971. She then drove school bus for the Jamestown Public Schools for 15 years. Dick died on October 18, 1996. Judy was a member of St. James Basilica, the Elks, Eagles and Vet's Club. She enjoyed bowling, raising flowers, shopping, visiting with friends and spending time with family. Survivors include 2 children: Janice (Jerry) Willman, Jamestown, ND; James (Cheryl) Greene, Painesville, OH; 5 grandchildren: Janine (Jon) Rath, Jamestown, ND; Janell (Kevin) Hanson, Jamestown, ND; Jodi Willman-Steffen, Jamestown, ND; Jaime Greene, Painesville, OH; Jimmy (Liz Nichols) Greene, Philadelphia, PA; 8 great-grandchildren: Justin, Allison, Katie, Jordan, Jeremy, Joey, Jakeb and Braylon. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 sisters: Catherine Grip and Ann Limesand.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 18, 2008 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, ND.

Prayer Service: 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 17 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown, ND.

Visitation: Noon until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Lisko Funeral Chapel and for 1 hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
