Julie Ann (Dronen) Dwelle, 66, Jamestown, ND peacefully succumbed to her long battle with illness Sunday February 28th, 2021 as Sanford Medical Center in Fargo ND with her family at her side.
Julie was born in Jamestown ND, on December 15th 1954. She grew up in Jamestown, graduating from Jamestown High School in 1973. She married Tim Dwelle on July 6th 1974. They spent the next 47 years building their life together in Jamestown.
Julie worked as a loving daycare provider for over 35 years. There have been hundreds and hundreds of children that were cared for by Julie. There are several instances of Julie caring for multiple generations of the same family. She was one of the most in demand daycare providers in Jamestown. Children were her life, the kids in the daycare were a constant source of joy and she lit up when talking about them. Julie never planned retirement and thought she would take care of children until she was physically unable. Being a daycare provider was never a job to her, it was a passion.
Julie enjoyed planting and tending to her many flower gardens. She enjoyed planning family get togethers’ on holidays and special occasions, always making sure everyone was well fed. Julie enjoyed her gadgets and always had some of the newest technology around the house. She loved bingo and trips to the casinos with her friends. True to her nature, she found immense joy helping someone in need. At her core she was a caregiver.
Above all else, she was a fiercely proud wife, mother and grandmother. She never missed an opportunity to proudly speak about her family and their successes and took every opportunity to spoil them in any way she could. Her Christmas celebrations became legendary amongst her grandchildren.
Julie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Tim. Two sons, Jayson (Erica) South St Paul, MN and Levi (Kandace) Jamestown, ND. 6 grandchildren Sam, Cate, Blair, Nick, Lacy, and Lexi. Two brothers Mike Dronen Bismarck, ND and Dana Dronen Jamestown, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jay and Betty Dronen. Her in-laws Jim and Marjorie Kokott and Marvin Dwelle.
Celebration of life: Family will be receiving friends from 1:00pm-3:00pm on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown ND.
Spring Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
Due to COVID-19 the family is requesting all wishing to pay their respects to Julie please wear a mask while inside the funeral home on Saturday.
