June M. Lawrence

June M. Lawrence, 79, of Jamestown, ND died Sunday, January 19, 2003 at Meritcare Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

June Marie Miska was born December 19, 1923 in Cleveland, ND. She was raised and attended school in Cleveland, graduating from Cleveland High School. June attended business college in Jamestown and worked for the First State Bank in Gackle, ND. She married Albert B. Lawrence on November 15, 1944 at the First Congregational Church in Jamestown. June worked for Farmers Union in Jamestown as a secretary.

She was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ and a ladies circle, a member of a Homemakers club, and a 4-H leader in Jamestown. June also enjoyed playing bridge, whist, solitaire, and working crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her husband, Albert B. Lawrence of Jamestown, ND; two daughters, Carol (Curt) Glasoe of Dickinson, ND and Janet (Mark) Wiese of Jamestown, ND; 5 grandchildren; and relatives living in Washington and California.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jean; grandmother, Anna; and grandfather, Joseph.

Funeral Service: 10:30AM Thursday, January 23, 2003 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Jamestown, with Pastor Terri Akkerman officiating.

Visitation: Wednesday, January 22, 2003 from 9:00AM to 9:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: 7:00PM Wednesday, January 22, 2003 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.

Memorials are preferred to the Anne Carlsen Center for Children, Jamestown in memory of Barbara Jean Lawrence.
