Karen Lee Kaiser, 75, Jamestown, North Dakota died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown, ND. Karen Lee Olson was born May 10, 1939 in Carrington, ND the daughter of Leonard and Doris June (Hoefs) Olson. She was raised in Fessenden and Jamestown, ND, graduating from Jamestown High School in 1957. Karen worked at Western Adjustment and Inspection Company in Jamestown as a claims secretary until she married Dale Edmund Wilson, in 1958. They moved to Anaheim, CA where she worked for the Automobile Club of Southern California as a claims adjuster. She moved to Sacramento, CA and married Herbert Kaiser, working in his law office for several years. They had two daughters, Gabrielle Wilkerson and Tamara Smestad, both living in the state of Washington. Karen worked as an insurance secretary for Noack and Dean in Sacramento, and then many years for the State Department of Youth Authority and the State Department of Health as a supervising steno. She also worked as an administrative assistant for Laidlaw Publishing Company, the textbook division of Doubleday Publishing Company and Lumen Publications. She retired in 1990 and moved to Washington, returning to Jamestown in 1992. She was a member and volunteer at the Jamestown Arts Center for many years. Karen is survived by her two daughters and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
