Karl Dixon, 46, Jamestown, ND died Friday, April 6, 2007 at Jamestown Hospital.
Karl Dixon was born November 5, 1960 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Ivan and Lavern (Wells) Dixon. Karl was raised and attended school in Aberdeen. He married the love of his life Brenda Lee Schaeffer on November 6, 1991 in Aberdeen. They moved to Jamestown, ND in 1995. Karl loved to work on cars as well as racing them, he started racing stock cars in 1978 until 2000. He retired from racing and became crew chief. Karl loved to spend time with friends and family. He always liked to make people happy and loved to cook and barbecue. Karl had a special place in his heart for his dog and three cats.
Karl is survived by his wife, Brenda, Jamestown; one daughter, Pammy Marie Schaeffer; father, Ivan Dixon, Aberdeen, SD; five sisters, Tammy (Mike) O'Malley, and Diane (Gary) Zahalka both of Aberdeen, SD, Patsy, California, Cheryl Orman, Fargo, ND and Gale Zelenka, Custer, SD; two brothers, Gary (Betty) Bush, Arizona, Jon (Jacke) Kendall, Aberdeen, SD and many friends and his racing crew.
Karl was preceded in death by his mother, Lavern, and his grandparents.
Funeral service: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at Eddy Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.
Visitation: 12:00 to 5:00 PM, Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
