Katharine Hofer

Katharina "Katie" Hofer, Willowbank Colony, Edgeley, ND, died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the Oakes Community Hospital, Oakes, ND.

Katharine Wollman was born September 1, 1932 at Cartier, Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of Samuel and Rebecca (Hofer) Wollman. On February 18, 1957, she married Jonathan Hofer at Rockport Colony and later moved to Fairview Colony and on to Willowbank Colony. She was a Kleinescherle Ankela for numerous years. Jonathan died in 2008.

Survivors include 7 children: Levi (Tillie), Fairview Colony, LaMoure, ND; Jonathan (Ruth), Willowbank Colony, Edgeley, ND; Debra (Sol), Deerfield Colony, Leola, SD; Samuel (Marie), Willowbank Colony, Edgeley, ND; Melvin, Texas; Kathy (Philip) Newport Colony; Kenneth (Mary Jane), Willowbank Colony, Edgeley, ND; 28 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 6 brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant brother and 1 sister.

Funeral - 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2009 at Willowbank Colony, Edgeley, ND.

Interment - Willowbank Colony Cemetery, Edgeley, ND
