Katherina
Hollingsworth, 96, Louisa, VA, formerly of Nortonville, ND, died January 14, 2009 at Louisa
Healthcare Center,
Lousia, VA.

Katherina
Job was born December 8, 1912 near Streeter, ND, the daughter of Jacob L. and
Eva (Mayer) Job. She was raised and
attended school near Streeter. Katie was
the oldest sister of a brother and 2 sisters.
On November 23, 1918, she lost her mother to a flu epidemic. Her father remarried to Chrisina Reuther in
February of 1919, which gained Katie 5 half-sisters and 6 half-brothers. In October of 1928, the family moved to a
farm southwest of Nortonville,
ND. She married Ernest Ralph (Rusty)
Hollingsworth on October 22, 1932 at her parents' farm home. They lived and farmed in Glenmore Township, ND,
near Nortonville for 5 years where Mary Lou, Ernest and Lily Mae were
born. They then moved 3½ miles north of
Nortonville where they continued to farm and where Charles and Joan were born. In the fall of 1942, they bought a farm 4
miles north and ½ mile west of Nortonville where she continued to live until
1967 when she purchased a home in Nortonville.
While living in Nortonville, she worked for several years as a cook for
the school hot lunch program. When the
school closed, Katie did a lot of babysitting.
In June of 1991, Katie moved to Farmers
Branch, TX to live
with her daughter, Joan and her family.
In June of 1995, she moved with Joan and her family to Beaverdam, VA
where she has resided until the present.

Katie was a long time member of the Nortonville Methodist
Church and the Ladies
Aid. She was an active member of Shiloh United
Methodist Church
and the Senior Citizen's Group in Beaverdam,
VA. She enjoyed gardening, handcrafts and hand
stitching and traveling to visit relatives and friends and seeing new places.

Survivors
include 4 children: Mary Lou Beitz, Jamestown, ND; Lilly Mae Lee, Montpelier,
ND; Charles R. (Shirley) Hollingsworth, Arlington, WA; Joan H. (DuWayne) Perry,
Bumpass, VA; 1 daughter-in-law, Marlys Hollingsworth, Everett, WA; 27
grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; 3
brothers: Ernest, Great Falls, MT, Walter "Bud" (Betty), Windsor, ND; Donald
(Carol), Vancouver, WA; 2 sisters: Elsie Dallmann, The Dalles, OR, Lillian
Skatum, Adrian, ND and a special sister-in-law, Violet Colberg, Jamestown, ND.

She was
preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; 1 son, Ernest; 5 sisters:
Ida, Viola, Betty, Edna, Eva; 4 brothers: Ludwig, Elmer, Arthur, Harold; a
daughter-in-law, Carol; 2 sons-in-law: Art Beitz, Donald Lee and 2
great-grandchildren.

Visitation - 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22,
2009 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown,
ND
