Katherine Heery, 80, Jamestown, ND, died Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at Hi Acre Manor, Jamestown, ND
Katherine Alice Sellers was born January 10, 1925 on her grandparents farm in Gettysburg, SD, the daughter of Raymond and Catherine (Robin) Sellers. She moved with her family to North Dakota where she attended school in Buchanan and Pingree. On July 2, 1942, she married Bernard Heery at St. Michael's Church, Buchanan, ND and they settled in Eckelson, ND where they farmed until 1976. Katherine also ran the Sanborn Café and worked in other cafés in the Jamestown, ND area. Bernard died in May of 1984 and later that year Katherine moved to Jamestown.
Katherine was a member of The Basilica Of St. James, Jamestown, ND.
Survivors include 2 sons: Francis (Debbie) Heery, Spiritwood, ND; James Heery, Buchanan, ND; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Mary Ann (Darrell) Hanson, Sanborn, ND; Eva Gardner, Huston, TX; and 2 brothers: Keith Sellers, Flagstaff, AZ; Bob (Sally) Sellers, DeMoins, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 son, 4 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Funeral - 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2005 at The Basilica Of St James, Jamestown, ND
Visitation - 1 hour prior to services at the church on Saturday morning (There will be no visitation at the funeral home)
Interment - Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
