Kathy J Spitzer

Kathy J. Spitzer, 75, of Jamestown, ND, passed away at her home Thursday evening, May 18, 2023.

Kathy Jo was born May 11, 1948, on the family farm near Adrian, ND, the daughter of Russell and Arlene (Drenth) Witzig.  She grew up on the farm and attended country school.  Kathy graduated from Edgeley High School in 1965 and met Duane Spitzer at a dance in Kensal, ND.  They were united in marriage on June 18, 1971 in Jamestown.  Kathy worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone and while they made their home in Jamestown and Kensal over the years.  She also worked for dentists Hasey and Anderson in Jamestown.  Kathy and Duane enjoyed traveling to craft shows and selling their items, especially toy jumping horses for children.  Duane passed away on May 25, 2012.

Kathy is survived by her two sons, Travis Spitzer and Cory Spitzer, both of Jamestown; and sister, Cheryl (Robert) Osowski, Minto, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane Spitzer; and aunts and uncles.

Memorial Service – 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
