Keith Tripp

Keith Marlin Tripp, 56, Pettibone, North Dakota died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at St. Alexius Hosptial in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Keith was born on December 9, 1952 in Jamestown, ND, the son of Marlin and Esther (Walz) Tripp. He attended and graduated from Pettibone High School in 1971. He married Loretta Hall on November 19, 1971. They lived in Jamestown. Keith worked at Rollahome, Wedgcor, and Western Gear. In August of 1972 he left for Army basic training for the National Guard at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He was a member of Company B 141st Engineering Battalion based in Jamestown. After his basic training he moved to Pettibone to run a dairy operation with his father and brothers. He also worked for the Patterson Land Company and various farmers in the area. In 1981 he moved to Glyndon, MN with his family and worked for the Glyndon Public Schools, Maintenance Engineering, and the Plains Art Museum in their custodial departments. In 1989 he and Loretta divorced and he moved back to Pettibone where he has resided since. Over the years he worked for some local companies and most recently as a farm hand on the Dale Wagner farm. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, watching westerns on TV, ice fishing, and in his younger years he enjoyed riding horse.

Keith is survived by his three daughters, Shanna (Wayne) McArthur, Moorhead, MN, Heather (Pat) Burns, Bradenton, FL and Nikki (Jim) Anderson, Sioux Falls, SD; five grandchildren, PJ (Patrick John) Burns, Kallie Burns, Paige McArthur, Emilie Burns and Lydia McArthur; mother, Esther Tripp, Jamestown; three brothers, Kirt Tripp, Randy (LeAnn) Tripp and Steve (Val) Tripp, all of Pettibone, ND; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents; and a grandson, Brett McArthur.

Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Pettibone, ND with Pastor Howard Lyons officiating.

Burial: Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Pettibone, North Dakota
