Kenneth Boelke

Kenneth George Boelke, 75, Jamestown, North Dakota passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at Sanford Palliative Care in Fargo. Kenneth George Boelke was born December 12, 1935 in Jamestown, ND the son of George and Charlene (Johnston) Boelke. He received his early education in a rural one room school house in Moon Lake Township. Ken and Frances Eckroth were married July 30, 1955 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Ken joined the army later serving in Germany with the 11th Airborne. After his honorable discharge from the Army he worked in various construction jobs and raised Charlois cattle. Following his retirement he volunteered with the Cleveland Rural Fire Dept. and delivered Meals on Wheels. Ken enjoyed reading, working puzzles, playing cards, and lively conversation over coffee with friends. Ken is survived by his wife, Frances Boelke, Jamestown, ND; daughters, Tracy (Mark) Haglund, Lakeville, MN, Terri (Dean) Bertsch, Jamestown, ND, Toni (Jeff) McCarty, Fargo, ND; one son, Timothy, Jamestown, ND; eight grandchildren, Waylen, Jarett, Andrea, Matthew, Jessica, Nicole, Brent, and Tyler; eight great-grandchildren, Dylan, Bradely, Jaidyn, Lyndsie, Gavin, Hannah, Natalie and Jack; three sisters, Imogene Greer, Cleveland, ND, Carol (John) Babcock, Scotsdale, AZ and Kae Heisler, Bismarck, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Pamela, his brother Charles, and great-granddaughter, Macie.
