Kenneth DeVillers, 86, Kensal, ND, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at Medcenter One Hospital, Bismarck, ND.

Kenneth Stewart DeVillers was born February 14, 1923 in Kensal, ND the son of Phillip and Agnes (Naze) DeVillers. He attended school on Kensal, graduating from Kensal High School in 1941. He attended University of North Dakota from 1941-1942 and Jamestown College 1942 - 1943. Kenny served in the United States Army from 1943 - 1944. Following his discharge he returned to Kensal. He married Harriet Nogosek on February 14, 1944 and they farmed in the Kensal area for many years. He also worked as a rural mail carrier for 35 years until retiring in 1982.

Survivors include his wife; 2 daughters, Dianne (Joe) Urso, Warrenville, IL and Mary Beth (David) Thill, Sugar Grove, IL; 3 sons, James (Linda) DeVillers, Kensal, ND, Joel (Kathy) DeVillers, Carrington, ND and Greg (Janet) DeVillers, Grand Forks, ND; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Keith (Joyce) DeVillers, Wahpeton, ND and 1 sister, Karen DeVillers, LaMoure, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kenny was an active member of St. Johns Catholic Church, Kensal, ND, where he sang in the church choir and taught Religious Education classes. He was also a member of the North Dakota Rural Letter Carriers Association, Kensal Fire Department, Kensal American Legion, the Elks, the Eagles and the Kensal School Board. He enjoyed the outdoor life especially hunting, fishing, yard work and caring for St. Johns Cemetery in Kensal. Kenny also enjoyed square dancing and going to the casino.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at St. John's Catholic Church, Kensal, ND.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2010 at St. John's Catholic Church, Kensal, ND

Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Interment: St. John's Cemetery, Kensal, ND.
