Kenneth Gerber

Kenneth Gerber, 74, Montpelier, ND passed away at his home on Saturday, October 15, 2016. He was born on October 21, 1941 to Herman and Gertrude Gerber. He received his education at Napoleon and Wishek schools. Ken joined the National Guard from 1960-1968. On March 15, 1964 Ken married Jean Andres. He lived in many places but settled in Montpelier, ND in 1970 where he worked various jobs and then came to Montpelier School where he was a bus driver/custodian for 34 years. During his time at the school he was also driving commercial bus. Ken retired at age 71. He enjoyed his grandchildren and going to their school activities.
Ken is survived by four children, Angela (Randy) Henne, Ypsilanti, ND, Robert Gerber, Montpelier, ND, Kevin Gerber, Jamestown, ND, Linda (Farrell) Anderson, Jamestown, ND; grandchildren, Cody Henne, Seth Moore, Chey, Searra, Parker Gerber, Seth, Sawyer, Spencer Suko, Josie Gerber, Brianna Anderson and Zoe Hodges; three brothers, Vern (Carol) Gerber, Arizona, Ronald (Barb) Gerber, Fargo, ND, Larry (Patrice) Gerber, Colorado; three sisters, Elaine (Jim) Hanson, Ada, MN, Vivian Josund, Fargo, ND, Carol Gerber, Barnesville, MN, had a strong connection with one brother-in-law, Jim Andres, Jamestown, ND and many nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, parents and one brother Raymond.

Funeral service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Montpelier Lutheran Church with Pastor Terry Anderson, officiating.
Visitation: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday, October 19 at Eddy Funeral Chapel with a prayer service to follow at 6:00 PM.
Burial: Montpelier Cemetery.
