Kenneth E. Kramer

Kenneth E. Kramer, 80, of West Fargo, ND, formerly of Kensal, ND, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.

Kenneth Eugene Kramer was born on November 26, 1934, at Kensal the son of Joe and Helen (Nogosek) Kramer. He grew up in Kensal and attended grade school there, graduating high school from New Rockford Academy in 1953. Kenneth married Irene Fredrickson on April 14, 1953 and they made their home on a farm near Glenfield, ND for two years. They moved southwest of Kensal to take over the Fredrickson Family farm where they raised eleven children, milked dairy cattle, and grew small grains. Kenneth served on the township board and St. John’s Catholic Church council. They moved to Fargo in 2005, then to West Fargo in 2010, where their home has been since.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Irene Kramer, West Fargo, ND; children, Rhonda (Jay) Wolsky, Carrington, ND, Shelly (Bernie) Wanzek, Courtenay, ND, James Kramer, Valley City, ND, Renee (Larry) Shain, Marathon, FL, Linda (Harry) Metz, Sidney, MT, Denise (Jeff) Zierke, West Fargo, ND, Janine (Allen) Smith, Jamestown, ND, Jolleen (Curt) Brown, Sanborn, ND, Lisa (Chris) Shain, Fargo, ND, and Kurt (Bonnie) Kramer, Valley City, ND; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lora Jean Kleven, East Grand Forks, MN and Judy Sund, Wimbledon, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Helen Kramer; son, Kenneth, Jr.; grandson, Nathan; brothers, Raymond, Bernard, and Ronald; and sisters, Irene and Delores.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2014 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Vigil: 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2014 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Kensal, ND.

Mass of Christian Burial : 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 27, 2014 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Kensal, with Father Al Bitz officiating.

Interment : St. John’s Cemetery, Kensal.
