Kenneth Mostad, 81, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, July 24, 2004 at his home in Jamestown after battling cancer for many years.
Kenneth was born April 8, 1923 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin the son of Clarence and Florence (Goodroad) Mostad. He attended school in Jamestown. Kenneth served in WWII from 1943 to 1946 in the U.S. Air Force. He returned to Jamestown where he worked for the Post Office for 34 years. On September 23, 1948 he married Bonnie Morrow in Jamestown. Kenneth was baptized in 1964 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He lived all of his life in Jamestown.
He enjoyed horseback riding, playing his guitar and singing with friends, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Kenneth was a family man that loved life.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Bonnie, Jamestown; two sons, David (Violet) of Rocklin, CA and Mark (Becky Syverson), Jamestown; two daughters, Debra Mostad and Merrie (Tracy) Deutscher, both of Jamestown; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Mostad, Spokane, WA, one aunt, Lydia Goodroad, Jamestown and a dear friend, Bill Kleese of Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Cindy Cumber and Verna Thompson.
Memorial Service: 3:00 PM, Friday, July 30, 2004 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Jamestown with Speaker Karl Bergh officiating.
