Kenneth Charles Shank, 92, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Eventide at Hi-Acres, Jamestown.
Kenneth was born September 13, 1918 in Jamestown, the son of William and Susan (Russell) Shank. He attended Jamestown schools. Kenneth served in World War II from May 22, 1942 to November 22, 1945 as a Surgical Technician in Rhineland Central European Theater. Upon his return to Jamestown he worked for Frank's Electric, Traiser Electric, and G & M Electric. On May 31, 1957 he started working as a electrician for the Northern Pacific Railroad until his retirement in September 1980. On March 6, 1952 Kenneth married Lois Krueger.
Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, and lifetime member of the V.F.W.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Lois, Jamestown; one sister, Margaret Reeder, Catlett, VA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willard and Russell and one sister, Marge.
