Kenneth Paul Taszarek

Kenneth Taszarek, 71, Edgeley, ND died at his home in Edgeley on Friday, December 5, 2008.

Kenneth Paul Taszarek was born on June 30, 1937 on a farm in Ray Township near Edgeley, ND the son of Frank and Sophie (Tobolski) Taszarek. He attended Ray Township School # 3. Kenny joined the North Dakota National Guard in 1954 and served until 1964. He and Barbara VanWatermulen were married at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Edgeley on November 17, 1967. They made Edgeley their home. He worked for the Union Stock Yards of Fargo and also on the family farm with his father. Kenny later was a brand inspector for the North Dakota Stockman's Association for the Edgeley area. He was the manager of Edgeley Improvement Association for 19 years and was on the Board of Directors for the North Dakota Beverage Dealers Association. He also was a member of the Edgeley Lions Club, Edgeley JC's, the Edgeley City Council and was on the Edgeley Fire Dept. He retired in 1998.

Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Tory (Jolene), Jamestown, ND and Timothy (Tami) West Fargo, ND; 1 daughter, Carmen (John) Henn, Hillsboro, ND; 9 grandchildren; 1 brother, Eugene (Marlys), Kulm, ND and 2 sisters, Marion Brosz, Edgeley, ND and Janet (Ron) Hall, Bellevue, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Francis. Kenny was a member of Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and the wild birds at his feeder.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2008 at Transfiguration Church.

Visitation: 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley, ND and 1 hour prior to services in the church on Tuesday.

Interment: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
