Kenneth William Wegenke

Kenneth W. Wegenke, 87, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Ave Maria Village.

Kenneth William Wegenke was born August 13, 1928 to William and Clara (Schroeder) Wegenke on the family farm and considered himself fortunate to have grown up in the 30’s and 40’s. He served in the US Army during the Korean War, managed the Polar Gas Propane Plant for many years. He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Marlyn Ellen Wegenke; children, Kevin (Maureen), Neil (Sharyl Overby) and William; grandchildren, Matthew (Ashley), Brandy, Nicholas, Justin (Alison), Warren, Jessica, Kari, and Samantha; great grandchildren, Matthew and Dominic; and many friends and relatives.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clara Wegenke; son, Matthew; three sisters, Frena, Caroline, and Hilda; and two brothers, Herman and Alfred.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Interment : Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
