Kern L. Carlson

Kern Carlson, 54, Fargo, North Dakota, formerly of Cleveland, ND, died Sunday, July 31, 2005 in Fargo.

Kern was born July 17, 1951 in Jamestown, the son of Samuel and Anna Marie (Nelson) Carlson. He attended school in Cleveland and graduated from Cleveland High School.

After graduation he attended Jamestown College. Kern was a musician and worked for a time in New York, Minneapolis and Las Vegas. He took care of his mother during her last years. For the last two years he lived and worked in Fargo.

Kern is survived by three brothers, J (Norma) Carlson, Cleveland, ND, Nelson Carlson, Jamestown and Lenus (Keum Shin) Carlson, Berlin, Germany and one sister-in-law, Linda Carlson, Cleveland, OH.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and step-father, Oscar Knutson.

Memorial Service: 10:00 AM, Friday, August 5, 2005 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Bryce Tahran officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent at the choice of the donor.
