Kevin Fuoss

May 18, 1956 — February 24, 2025

Jamestown, North Dakota

Kevin Donald Fuoss, 68, of Jamestown, ND passed away peacefully on February, 24th, 2025 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Kevin was born on May 18th, 1956 in Henricks, Minnesota to Donald and Elaine (Gruenhagen) Fuoss.  He graduated from Madison High School and went on to Staple Technical College.  Upon graduation Kevin began a career in aerospace with Western Gear.  He was a dedicated and loyal employee of the corporation he served for over 40 years.

Kevin married the love of his life Dorothy (Dodie) Marson on July 22nd, 1978.  For 46 years, their love was a steadfast anchor, a bond created in shared laughter and unwavering support.  Through life’s grand adventures and quiet moments, they were each other’s constant, a testament to a life deeply rooted in love and commitment.

Kevin was an avid sports enthusiast.  He loved watching both professional and recreational sports.  He even shared his talents on the softball field with co-workers, coaching youth sports, and in the boxing ring while at Staples Technical College.  He found great joy in supporting the passions of his loved ones.  He was a devoted fan, cheering his children and grandchildren through every season and every event.  He always reminded his grandchildren before every event, while wishing them luck, to “just do your best and have fun.”

Kevin’s heart overflowed with profound joy when it came to his grandchildren.  Every visit, whether in person or through video call, was a treasured moment, a chance to bask in the warmth of their laughter and be captivated by their innocent tales.  He held these moments close, savoring the simple pleasures of their company and the delight they brought to his life.

Family gatherings were more than just simple events for Kevin.  He transformed into a masterful storyteller, weaving narratives that captured the essence of his own life experiences, both humorous and heartfelt.  But he was equally eager to listen, his eyes sparkling with genuine interest as he learned about the adventures, big and small, of each family member.  Each story, each shared laugh, each moment of connection became a precious gem, held close to his heart and cherished a testament to the bonds of family and friends.

Kevin is survived by his wife Dorothy “Dodie” Fuoss; children Amy (Brandon) Bartsch of Grand Forks, ND, Nicholas (Kami) Fuoss of Riverdale, UT; brother Wayne (Cheryl) Fuoss of Rochester, MN; grandchildren Cole, Caleb, Taylee, Paxton, Oaklee, Paisley, Wesley, numerous brothers and sister-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and his spirited but favorite dog Gus.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Frederick and Violet Fuoss, Ella and Phillip Gruenhagen, father Donald Fuoss, mother Elaine (Gruenhagen) Fuoss as well as beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and brothers and sisters-in-law.
