Kevin Koenig

Kevin Mark Koenig, 53, Jamestown, ND passed away December, 28th, 2023 at his home with his wife by his side. Kevin was born on October 15th, 1970 in Jamestown, ND to Jenner “JJ” and Esther (Guthmiller) Koenig. Kevin graduated from Jamestown High School in 1989 and started in sales thereafter. He met the love of his life Heidi (Wright) Koenig in Fargo, ND in 1995 and were married on October 25th, 1997. They graciously raised two men, Levi and Dylan, who currently reside in San Luis Obispo, California and Omaha, Nebraska.  In November of 1998 he started to work in the automotive repair industry and has been greatly known as the world’s most okayest “Dentman” ever since.

Kevin was a mediocre golfer, an avid glamper, the best legal road hunter but more than anything he loved being with the ones he loved the most. His personality was unmatched. His positive attitude was felt before he entered the room. If you ever needed anything, Kevin was there. He was always the most positive person no matter what life threw at him. Selfless, comical and care-free are just a few words that describe his personality.

Kevin loved hard and he loved big. Let’s celebrate him by being kind and loving like he was in his everyday life. Keep his light burning by trying to be a little more like Kev.

He is survived by his wife Heidi of 26 wonderful years and sons Levi Peterson and Dylan Koenig. His mother Esther Koenig and siblings; Sherri (Kerry) Hochhalter and Mishelle (Kendall) Enzminger, many nieces, nephews and “framily”. He is preceded in death by his father Jenner “JJ” Koenig.

Prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 4th at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Jamestown. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, January 5th at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church which will be officiated by Pastor Mark Reid.
