Kip David Kunze

Kip David Kunze, 39, Fargo, ND passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at his home.

Kip David Kunze was born February 14, 1980 in Jamestown, ND to David and Berna (Dockter) Kunze. He grew up in Jamestown and attended Roosevelt grade school before graduating from Jamestown High School in 1998. Kip attended UND where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degree. Kip moved to Fargo in 2004 where he was employed with Microsoft until his death.

Kip was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. His passions were hunting, traveling, and hanging out with his friends and family. Kip’s two big events were when he tagged his first big buck with John Dardis and when he was drawn for his elk tag in the Badlands with Tom Schauer.

He is survived by his mother Berna Kunze, Jamestown; sister Kimberly (Robert) Olson, Fargo, ND; niece Ashley Olson (Griffin), Fargo, ND; many special friends and his dog Hashtag. Kip was preceded in death by his father David, paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM with family receiving friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, April 5, 2019 at Eddy Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 6 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Tom Eckstein officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
