L. Adeline Kirschenman

L. Adeline Kirschenman, 87, Montpelier, North Dakota died Saturday, November 29, 2003 at Central Dakota Village, Jamestown, North Dakota.

Lillian Adeline Danuser was born June 22, 1916 in Eleva, Wisconsin, the daughter of Cyrus and Josephine (Solberg) Danuser. She grew up in the Adrian, North Dakota area and attended grade school in Saratoga Township and high school in Adrian and Marion. On May 1, 1934 Adeline married Leon Kirschenman of Alpena, South Dakota. They settled in the Marion area where they farmed. In 1961 they moved to their home in the James River valley on Highway 46 near Adrian. In June 2001, Adeline entered the Roseadele Care Center in Jamestown, later becoming a resident at Central Dakota Village.

She was a member of the Jamestown congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and was devoted to speaking to all she could about the Bible's promise of a paradise earth. She was a generous lady, always ready to help wherever she could. Adeline loved music, enjoyed playing her piano and gardening, especially growing gladiolas. Her grandchildren brought a special joy to her heart. She was known for her baking, crocheting and knitting, which she found happiness sharing with her friends and family.

Adeline is survived by her husband, Leon of Central Dakota Village; two sons, Duane (Faye), Winston-Salem, NC and Darrel (Tania), Montpelier; one daughter, Lillian (Ron) Summerfield, Wahpeton, ND; two brothers, Gerald Danuser, Marion, ND and Chester Danuser, Milledgeville, GA; one sister, LaVerne McKee, Florence, SC; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Geraldine Peske.

Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Cameron Tabbert officiating.

Visitation: 10:00 AM to 12 Noon, Wednesday, December 3, 2003 and one hour before the service at the Hall.

Burial: Dickey Cemetery, Dickey, North Dakota.
