Laray Waltz

LaRay Waltz, 52, Jamestown,
ND, died Monday, October 11, 2010 at Eventide
Hi-Acres Manor, Jamestown, ND.

LaRay June Batsch was born June 5, 1958 at LaMoure, ND,
the daughter of Raymond and Doloras June (Wegenast) Batsch. She was raised on the family farm near Edgeley, ND
where she attended elementary and 2 years of high school. She moved with her family to Jamestown, ND in1973 and
completed high school in Jamestown,
graduating in 1976. On May 10, 1995 she
married Dennis Waltz and they resided in Jamestown
where LaRay worked as a Ward Clerk at the North Dakota State
Hospital.

LaRay was a member of St. John's Lutheran
Church, the American
Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends; her 2 cats, Spooks
and Mister and watching the Golden Girls.

Survivors include her parents, Ray and June Batsch,
Jamestown, ND; 2 sisters: Charlette Middlestead and Gale (Tom) Scherbenske,
both Jamestown, ND; a brother, Bruce (Ruth) Batsch, Valley City, ND; 3 nephews:
Jeramie Middlestead, Bismarck, ND; Andrew Middlestead, Jamestown, ND; Matthew
Scherbenske, Barnsville, MN; 2 nieces: Jodie Hejtamanek, Valley City, ND and
Jennie Darby, Shreveport, LA; 7 great nieces and nephews; a step-son, Danny
Waltz; a brother-in-law, Herbert Waltz, Sioux Falls, SD; 2 sisters-in-law:
Bonnie Weatherly, Jamestown, ND and Pam Woodall, Bonham, TX and one
step-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband; grandparents; 2 brothers:
Randall and Randolph Batsch and a brother-in-law, Vernon Middlestead.

p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND

Prayer Service - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND

Visitation - 9:00
a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Lisko Funeral Chapel,
Jamestown, ND and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.

Interment - Sunset Memorial Garden, Jamestown,
ND
