Larry L. Gruebele, 53, Bismarck, North Dakota, formerly of Jamestown, ND, died Friday, September 18, 2009 in an accident near his home.

Larry was born July 27, 1956 in Jamestown, the son of Edward and Amelia (Remmick) Gruebele. He attended school in Courtney, Wimbledon and Gackle, North Dakota. On December 16, 1977 Larry married Kathy Guthmiller at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Pettibone, ND. Larry was employed at Cargill in Spiritwood, ND for 27 years. They moved to Bismarck in 2005 where he owned and operated Gruebele's Lawn Care.

Larry enjoyed outdoor activities, especially hunting, fishing (including ice fishing) camping, riding ATV, and his dogs, Jake and Sadie.

Larry is survived by his wife, Kathy, Bismarck; daughter, Tara (David) Jones, Bismarck; son, Donovan Gruebele (fiance', Teal Larsen), Burnsville, MN; special granddaughter, Kaylee Olson, Jamestown; mother, Amelia Gruebele, Valley City, ND; two sisters, Carol (Lowell) Jordahl, Hawley, MN and Colleen (Thomas) Musgrave, Valley City; two brothers, Dallas (Linda) Gruebele, Valley City and Cal (Gayle) Gruebele, Breckenridge, MN; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Cindy (Wesley) Awlner, Tuttle, ND, Allen (Diana) Guthmiller, Bismarck and Darrell (Bernette) Guthmiller, Pettibone, ND; parents-in-law, Ludwig and Dorline Guthmiller, Pettibone; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, niece, Shawn Gruebele and a nephew, Jesse Gruebele.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Harlan Kaden officiating.

Visitation: 2:00 to 7:00 PM, Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota
