Larry Hakanson

Larry H. Hakanson, 79, Jamestown, ND passed away in Fargo, ND on November 3, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Larry was born January 21, 1945 in Jamestown, ND to William and Helen (Schrum) Hakanson.  He grew up and attended school in Edgeley, ND before joining the National Guard.

He worked for Jamestown Plumbing and Heating until 1980, where he then worked for Cargill until he retired in 2012.  Larry was also a member of the Farmer’s Market from 1986 to the present.  Larry had a love for his chickens and his precious dog Denver.

Larry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Connie; children Michael, Mark, Marie (Tony), Monty (Savanna), Mandy (Roger); 16 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and brothers Carl, Charles and Roy.  He was preceded in death by his parents William and Helen.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, ND.
