Larry Miklas

Lawrence Miklas, 65, Cooperstown, ND, died Monday, July 31, 2006 in Bismarck, ND.
Lawrence Joseph Miklas was born January 27, 1941 at Kensal, ND, the son of Joseph and Laura (Rommelfanger) Miklas. He was raised and attended school in the Courtenay, ND area, graduating from Courtenay High School in 1959. After graduating, he worked at several area grain elevators and managed the elevator in Cogswell, ND. He owned B&L Grocery in Hannaford, ND for several years and also provided water quality testing at the Hannaford Water Treatment Plant.
Survivors include a son, Mike, Buffalo, ND; a daughter, Nichol Miklas, Moorhead, MN; 3 grandchildren: Andrew and Autumn, Buffalo, ND and Xavier, Moorhead, MN; 2 sisters: Mary (Russ) Haas, Bismarck, ND; Dorothy Conley, Grand Forks, ND; a brother, Jim Miklas, Courtenay, ND and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Frank and a brother-in-law, Pat Conley.
Funeral service - 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2006 at St. John's Catholic Church, Kensal, ND.
Visitation - 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2006 at St. John's Catholic Church, Kensal, ND.
Interment - St. John's Cemetery, Kensal, ND
