Larry Walker, 61, Jamestown, North Dakota died Wednesday, June 2, 2004 in his home in Jamestown.
Larry was born March 5, 1943 in Kensal, North Dakota the son of Floyd and Leiva (Bond) Walker. Larry grew up and attended school in Courtenay, ND. He enlisted in the Army National Guard in August 1960. He was honorably discharged in August of 1963. Larry managed the grain elevator in Verona, ND for seven years. Larry farmed in the Courtenay-Glenfield area until the time of his passing.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Larry is survived by his wife, Karen of Jamestown; two daughters, Stacey (Allen) Becker, Rowlette, TX and Jacqueline Walker, Spokane, WA; one grandchild, Devin Becker; three step-daughters, Cora (John) Davis, Fargo, Carrie Gartner, Glasgow, MT and Patty (Travis) Taxdahl, Fargo; one step-son, Tim (Amy) Johnson, Moorhead, MN; one brother, Randy (Anne) Walker, Jamestown; three sisters, Joanne (Myron) Lenning, Ottertail, MN, Pat Darby, Jamestown and Mytra Bond, Pueblo, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Derward and one step-son, Chris Gartner.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Eppelsheimer officiating.
No Visitation
Burial: North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND at a later date.
