Laura Eberhardt

September 24, 1936 — February 28, 2025

Jamestown, North Dakota

Laura Lucille (Schelske) Eberhardt, 88, of Jamestown, ND passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Eventide Jamestown.

Laura was born to Theodore “TJ” and Johanna (Eissinger) Schelske on September 24, 1936 in Medina, ND.  Laura loved growing up on the farm, and graduated from Medina High School in 1954.

Laura moved to Jamestown after graduation where she met Don Eberhardt, son of Ray and Grace Eberhardt, in the print shop where they both worked.  They were married September 21, 1958 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND.  Don and Laura made their home in Jamestown, ND.  They were blessed with two daughters, Karen and Lori.  Don and Laura started their own print shop, Two Rivers Printing.  Don, Laura and Lori worked hard to make the business a success.  Don and Laura sponsored a women’s fastpitch softball team, enjoyed their local games, and followed their team around the state to cheer for them.

Laura had a horse on the farm named Tiny.  She always rode bareback and even taught Tiny to stand up on command.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed Twins baseball, bowling, water skiing (although she would rather drive the boat and let Don ski!), and both playing and watching fastpitch softball.

Laura is survived by her daughters; Karen, Rochester, MN and Lori, Jamestown, ND; sister-in-law, Jane Eberhardt, Jamestown, ND; brothers-in-law, Duane (Mary) Eberhardt and Vernon Bader; nieces, nephews and her faithful grand dog Gussie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters Leo (Shirley), Luella (Chester) Thompson, Norma (Eldo) Schweitzer; June Bader; Dan (Ella) Schelske, Vernon (Donna) Schelske; and nephews Jerry Eberhardt, Mike Schelske and Teddy Schelske.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 6 at Eddy Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 7 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Kristi Weber officiating.  Interment will take place in the spring at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
